“LONG GROVE” * OVERVIEW [*] The Long Grove family has lived at Long Grove Farm for many generations. They are on fairly good terms with the humans, as the workers of the farm appreciated the Long Grove family for keeping the rats and mice down. The human visitors are usually friendly towards the cats, as well. Generally a close-knit, if occasionally disfunctional, family, the Long Grove cats defend their area fiercely from outsiders. Although they mate outside of the family group, not all mates come to live at Long Grove Farm.
* RANKINGS [1.] Runners: hunt for the family and protect from outsiders
[2.] Mothers: pregnant and nursing females
[3.] Kittens: young cats up to 1 year; typically taught life skills by their mothers and other immediate family members
[4.] Elders: older cats; highly revered and cared for
