Central New Haventown

No New Posts Town Centre

The very heart of New Haventown is crowded and busy, not quite the large metropolis of Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, but certainly impressive. Tall buildings and offices line the paved, busy roads. Human are around at practically all hours of the day. Although not exactly a restful place, there is plenty of human rubbish which can provide food, as well as many alleys and places to live. Dirty, loud, and bustling, the center of the city is certainly a place full of activity.

No New Posts Business District

Widely considered the most dangerous area in all of New Haventown, the business district is filled with many shops, malls, and large businesses. The place is always crowded and traffic is heavy, making it difficult to navigate during the day. Cats are captured and taken to shelters here more than anywhere else, due to the large SPCA nearby—which the cats all avoid like the plague. The business district is a rather unfriendly place, and offers very little prey or shelter.

No New Posts Breaker's Bridge

Originally named Becker's Bridge after the man who designed it, the bridge is old and has been rebuilt due to faulty cables that started to break. Although in no danger of breaking anymore, the name stuck. The structure is massive and clunky, being an older bridge. It certainly lacks the grace and elegance of other bridges, but the stark contrast between Breaker's Bridge and the sky is impressive. Below the bridge is part of the Allegheny River. Fishing is possible in the river, but living on the bridge is not recommended.

Suburban New Haventown

No New Posts Greenwood Hills

The largest, wealthiest neighborhood in the city is Greenwood Hills. Large, quaint brick homes stand tall and proud, each one immaculate. The streets are well-kept and many housecats live indoors, or wander their neighborhood, and several strays call Greenwood Hills their home as well. Situated in a hilly area, the neighborhood seems quiet and secluded. A large lake—home to plenty of Canadian geese –sits in the middle of the neighborhood, all the streets branching off from around the lake. It's a beautiful place and the felines here are certainly better off than most other places.

No New Posts Long Grove Farm

Long Grove Farm is a large, sprawling place with several acres of farmland located just a few miles from Greenwood Hills. It is an excellent place for strays, as Long Grove takes a more traditional approach to farming and the cats are welcome since they keep the mice and rat populations down. During the summer, berries grow and the corn fields are planted. During the fall, the apple trees bear their red fruit. The farm is fairly quiet during the winter, but picks back up again once spring returns. Long Grove is a beautiful place and very feline-friendly.

No New Posts Market Square

Not exactly a traditional market; Market Square is more of a strip mall. It's clean and well-kept, full of expensive stores and cute shops. The humans don't typically welcome strays here, but it's often worth the risk to come and snag some leftover fish from the little seafood shop.

No New Posts Harwell Terrace

A nice middle class neighbor, Harwell Terrace runs a trap-neuter-return program that the strays aren't too fond of. Despite this TNR program, Harwell Terrace residents treat strays with kindness and care well for them. The houses are much smaller than the massive structures at Greenwood Hills, but they seem friendlier somehow. The houses appear mismatched from each other and look more cozy than perfect. All in all, it's not a bad place for strays—there are plenty of rabbits to catch.

No New Posts The Slums

The seedy area of New Haventown is filled with rundown, abandoned buildings and poverty. There is only one neighborhood in the area, but it's a poor neighborhood. The strays here tend to be mean and hungry, and the streets offer very little other than rats as far as food goes. The slums are a rather unpleasant place, but not everyone can be lucky.

Outside New Haventown

No New Posts The Abandoned Railroad

Just outside the city limits is a part of an old railroad. It is clearly unused, as plants have grown between and there is even a tree in the middle of the tracks. There is no chance of a train coming down, so it is a safe if foreboding area.

No New Posts The Forest

Beyond the city limits of New Haventown is a large expanse of untouched forest. A variety of trees makes up the forest community, with many different types of shrubs and flowers growing as well. The forest is an excellent place to live and to hunt, since humans rarely venture out here except during late spring and early fall when they go camping. Deer, mice, rabbits, birds, and the like call the forest their home and it's a tough but liveable place for stray cats.

No New Posts Allegheny River

The full power of the Allegheny River can be admired here. The river never freezes during the winter due to its mighty nature. Quite the impressive sight, boats are often seen floating calmly on the water. It can be a busy place during the summer.

No New Posts The Hills

New Haventown is a relatively secluded city compared to many others in Pennsylvania. Rolling hills stretch for several miles all around the forest and provide a relatively quiet place to stay. The hills are covered with grass, wildflowers, and bushes. In some places, small ponds have formed in the miniature valleys between hills.
